Dong-Eui Institute of Technology Opens Digital Fitness Platform 'Healthcare Zone'

Dong-Eui Institute of Technology Sports Center has opened a new concept digital fitness platform called ‘Healthcare Zone’.

The opening ceremony was attended by Kim Young-do, President of Dong-Eui Institute of Technology, Byun Jong-jun, Chairman of Busanjin-gu Sports Club, Jang Sun-mi, Director of Busan Sports Science Center, and others.

Healthcare Zone is a cutting-edge platform that integrates ICT technology with the latest equipment to conduct musculoskeletal examinations, measure body composition, and design exercise programs.

At Healthcare Zone, the user's individual measured body data is systematically analyzed by artificial intelligence and then delivered to a healthcare designer, who prescribes customized exercise treatments and activities.

In 2021, Dong-Eui Institute of Technology promoted a ‘Regional Customized Workforce Development Project’ with Busanjin-gu Office. Based on this project, they signed a business agreement with the Korea Sports Consulting Association and BTinc to train healthcare designers, and the healthcare designers trained at that time are planned to be deployed in the ‘Healthcare Zone’.

President Kim Young-do said, “With Healthcare Zone, we can provide safe and systematic exercise for local residents, and we hope to offer an even better environment for elite athletes in each sport.”

Dong-Eui Institute of Technology’s Healthcare Zone also plans to expand the Growth Clinic Zone to enhance the completeness of a customized exercise management system for each life cycle stage.
