Accordingly, on the 18th, the Thailand branch visited Osstem Implant’s headquarters and central research institute with 15 local dentists. On the 21st, the Kazakhstan branch will lead about 50 local dentists to enter the country.
Osstem Implant has currently identified the demand for visits to Korea from 22 out of the 26 countries where its overseas branches have expanded. Throughout this year, 1,500 global dental customers from countries including China, Japan, Germany, Ukraine, Brazil, and Australia will visit Osstem Implant’s Korean headquarters.
Overseas dentists visiting the Korean headquarters attend lectures by global implant clinical authorities such as professors from Seoul National University College of Dentistry and receive hands-on training. Osstem Implant plans to provide experiences not only in implant placement using its own kits and templates but also in directly using digital equipment such as oral scanners and dental 3D printers.
Jo In-ho, Director of Osstem Implant Dental Research Institute, who oversees clinical training for overseas dentists, said, “This year, 180 local dentists from Europe, including Germany, who used to travel abroad in the 1990s to receive implant education by paying expensive tuition fees, are coming to Osstem Implant. The fact that European dentists, who have high standards and are demanding regarding clinical skills, visit Korea for training shows that Osstem Implant’s technology and educational curriculum are excellent.”
Osstem Implant established Korea’s first implant training center in 2001 to provide clinical implant education to dentists. Including its headquarters, Osstem Implant offers online and offline lectures at 30 permanent training centers overseas, and as of the end of 2022, approximately 110,000 dentists have received clinical training at Osstem Implant training centers.
