An event is waiting to find the 1 millionth visitor to the arboretum.
The Korea Arboretum and Garden Management Authority announced on the 20th that the National Baekdudaegan Arboretum in Chunyang-myeon, Bonghwa-gun, Gyeongbuk, is approaching a cumulative visitor count of 1 million since its temporary opening in 2016.
Based on the current visitor trends, it is expected that the lucky 1 millionth visitor will appear between the last week of this month and the first week of April.
To show appreciation for the visitors' support, the National Baekdudaegan Arboretum plans to provide the 1 millionth visitor with an annual membership benefit worth 20,000 KRW and Onnuri gift certificates worth 300,000 KRW.
Director Jonggeon Lee of the arboretum said, “Thanks to the many visitors who have come to the National Baekdudaegan Arboretum, we are about to surpass 1 million visitors. We hope people visit the arboretum to feel the beginning of spring and have the chance to become the lucky winner.”
