"Voices Crying 'Save Me' Heard at Dawn... Tragedy Strikes Incheon Family"

Neighbor: "They were usually a harmonious family"
"They incurred about 100 million won in debt after purchasing the house"
Police plan to request autopsy from National Forensic Service

Five members of a family in Incheon were found dead at the same time, and neighbors' testimonies that they were usually a harmonious family added to the sorrow.

According to the Michuhol Police Station in Incheon on the 20th, around 10:37 a.m. on the 18th, five family members, including a couple in their 40s, Mr. A, and their young children, were found dead in a villa in Michuhol-gu, Incheon.

The police responded to a 112 report stating "a person has collapsed" and arrived at the scene. The first witness, a relative of the family, Mr. B, went to the house after failing to contact them and discovered the deceased, then reported it to the police.

At the time of discovery, Mr. A was found dead alone in one room, while his wife and three children were found collapsed together in another room.

The police are focusing on the possibility that Mr. A killed his wife and children with a sharp weapon before taking his own life. It is reported that the couple purchased the house at the end of 2017 for around 300 million won and were in debt of about 100 million won.

Neighbors remembered the deceased family as a harmonious household. A note presumed to be drawn by the children, saying "I love you. Mom, I love you," was found in Mr. A’s car parked in front of the villa where the incident occurred.

One resident told Yonhap News, "I also heard from another resident that they heard cries for help around dawn yesterday," adding, "I don’t know the exact time, but such sounds were heard from around 1 a.m."

The police plan to send the bodies of Mr. A and the other four to the National Forensic Service for autopsy.
