Segmentation into Premium and Cost-Effectiveness
GS25 announced on the 20th that it will launch salads containing ice plant for the first time in the convenience store industry on the 21st.
Ice plant is a superfood gaining global attention, known to help prevent adult diseases and aid in dieting, making it popular among the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z). The products to be released include four types: Premium Ice Plant Salad, Apple Mango Cajun Salad, Truffle Chicken Pumpkin Salad, and Lemon Ricotta Jambon Ham Salad.
GS25 has segmented its salad products into ▲Premium Line ▲Basic Line ▲Cost-effective Line according to the composition of raw materials and price. The Premium Line emphasizes functionality centered on healthy vegetables, while the Basic Line consists of fruits and vegetables popularly preferred by customers as meal replacements.
A GS Retail official stated, “Salads using ice plant for the first time in the convenience store industry are expected to be good news for customers who prioritize health. We will do our best to provide fresh and delicious salads so that customers can choose GS25 convenience store salads without hesitation for one meal a day by expanding the customized lineup.”
