LG Uplus announced on the 19th that it will operate the ‘U+MVNO University Student Supporters,’ where MZ generation college students introduce the reasons behind the popularity of budget phones.
The U+MVNO University Student Supporters aim to deliver various information related to budget phones by having college students create content that resonates with MZ generation customers and post it on various social media platforms.
Through recruitment in February, a total of 16 supporters were selected for the first group. They held an inauguration ceremony on the 17th at the LG Uplus headquarters in Magok, Seoul, and will introduce information about budget phones, plans, unique features of U+ Budget Phones, and ongoing promotions through SNS channels such as YouTube, Naver Blog, and Instagram for three months until June.
LG Uplus plans to support the supporters with content creation training and regular meetings, and provide monthly activity fees and venue rental fees so they can focus on producing creative content. After the activities conclude, outstanding supporters will also receive a small reward.
Yu Hoseong, head of LG Uplus MVNO Business, said, “We will focus on introducing the reasons behind the popularity of budget phones to the MZ generation through college students and producing creative content,” adding, “We will continue to provide various support to revitalize the domestic budget phone market and promote coexistence with small and medium-sized budget phone operators.”
