In a Karaoke Room in Goheung, a Woman in Her 50s Stabbed to Death with a Knife

The police are investigating a man in his 60s who stabbed a woman in her 50s to death with a weapon at a karaoke room.

The Goheung Police Station in Jeonnam announced on the 19th that they have booked and are investigating Mr. B, a man in his 60s, on suspicion of murder.

Mr. B is suspected of killing a woman in her 50s, presumed to be an employee, with a weapon at a karaoke room in Goheung at around 8:24 p.m. the previous day.

The police have determined that Mr. B, who came to the karaoke room as a customer, wielded the weapon while the karaoke room owner was in the kitchen.

Ms. A was taken to the hospital but died, while Mr. B sustained serious self-inflicted injuries and was taken to the hospital for surgery; his life is not in danger.

It is reported that Ms. A was helping out with the karaoke room work when she was harmed.

The police believe that Ms. A and Mr. B were acquainted and are investigating the exact circumstances of the incident by questioning witnesses and others.
