The opening of bus No. 100 is expected to contribute to alleviating the inconvenience of transportation such as commuting and school travel, as many people live in the new town area developed in Namak and Oryong, but there was no direct bus route connecting to Muan-eup.
Governor Kim San said, “The operation of bus No. 100 will not only improve transportation convenience for residents but also greatly help strengthen solidarity as Muan residents and revitalize the local economy through the connection between urban and rural areas.” He added, “We will work to improve any inconveniences through future operations.”
Kim Kyung-hyun, Chairman of the Muan County Council, said, “The opening of bus No. 100 goes beyond providing transportation convenience; I believe it will boost the pride of the residents.” He expressed gratitude to the residents and heads of social organizations who attended the opening ceremony and wished for the safe operation of bus No. 100.
The No. 100 rural seat bus operates a round trip route of 36.3 km from Muan-eup to Cheonggye-myeon, Mokpo Terminal, E-Mart, Okam, Namak, and Oryong. It runs 24 times a day on weekdays and 16 times a day on weekends and holidays. The bus fare is 2,100 KRW for general passengers and 100 KRW for elementary, middle, high school students, and youth (when paying by card).
