The average annual salary of LG Electronics employees has surpassed 100 million KRW.
According to LG Electronics' business report on the 17th, the average salary per employee last year was 112 million KRW, a 15.5% increase from the previous year (97 million KRW).
This is the first time the average salary of LG Electronics employees has exceeded 100 million KRW. It is also a high level compared to other large companies such as Hyundai Motor Company (105 million KRW). However, it was lower than Samsung Electronics' average salary (135 million KRW).
By gender, the average salary of male employees was 116 million KRW, which is 28.9% higher than that of female employees (90 million KRW). This is attributed to the fact that many female employees work as temporary workers on production lines.
Regarding executive compensation, former President Kwon Soon-hwang received a total of 4.546 billion KRW last year. He received 580 million KRW in salary and 437 million KRW in bonuses. His retirement allowance was 3.527 billion KRW.
Former Vice Presidents Kim Jin-yong and Lee Jong-san also received 2.427 billion KRW and 2.316 billion KRW respectively, including retirement allowances.
Former Vice Presidents Jeon Myung-woo and Kim Jun-ho received 2.249 billion KRW and 2.247 billion KRW respectively, including retirement allowances.
CEO Cho Joo-wan received 1.781 billion KRW in compensation last year, including 1.545 billion KRW in salary and 235 million KRW in bonuses.
Vice President Bae Doo-yong received 921 million KRW including salary and bonuses, and LG Vice Chairman Kwon Bong-seok received 870 million KRW in bonuses.
The total number of LG Electronics employees is 34,645, with an average length of service of 11.9 years.
