Changnyeong-gun Holds Integrated Defense Council Meeting for Q1 This Year

Changnyeong-gun, Gyeongnam Province held the Changnyeong-gun Integrated Defense Council meeting for the first quarter of this year on the 16th in the county office’s military administration conference room to establish a regional integrated defense posture in response to the rapidly changing security environment.

On this day, the meeting proceeded in the order of ▲ watching a security video on North Korea’s threat to the South presented by the Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters of the National Intelligence Service ▲ reporting the main schedule of the 2nd Battalion of the 5870th Unit and the integrated defense operation plan ▲ promoting major military administration matters of the county.

Through presentations on integrated defense posture promotion plans by each agency and sharing training status, the meeting provided an opportunity to establish a regional integrated defense posture by exploring ways to maintain an organic cooperation system among related organizations.

Acting Governor Cho Hyun-hong stated, “We must recognize the severe security reality such as North Korea’s asymmetric provocations and cyberattacks, and thoroughly inspect the emergency preparedness system for integrated defense in accordance with various types of provocations.”

He also said, “Through close cooperation among civilians, government, and military, I ask for thorough facility management and active interest and support in safety to establish a perfect regional integrated defense posture.”
