Jellatoris 'Rejects LIV Golf's 169.2 Billion KRW Offer' '26-year-old rising star' Will Zalatoris has turned down a lucrative offer from LIV Golf.

Fred Couples (USA), who plays on the PGA Senior Tour, revealed in an interview with the Orange County Register, a regional newspaper in California, USA, on the 17th (Korean time), "LIV Golf offered Zalatoris $130 million (about 169.2 billion KRW) to switch tours."

Couples heard this information from Zalatoris' agent. LIV Golf initially offered Zalatoris $35 million (about 45.5 billion KRW), but when he did not respond, they increased the amount to $130 million.

Zalatoris is a ‘young gun’ who won his first career title last August at the FedEx St. Jude Championship. He has been recognized as a next-generation star by finishing in the top 10 six times, including three runner-up finishes in nine major tournaments. Zalatoris placed second at the 2021 Masters, followed by runner-up finishes at last year’s PGA Championship and the US Open.

Couples disclosed, "Zalatoris rejected LIV Golf’s love call and decided to stay on the PGA Tour." Zalatoris has said, "I don’t play golf for the money," and "Even if the US Open prize money is only $100,000, I will still compete in the US Open."
