Training for Staff in Charge in Gyeongju
From the 17th, the Gyeongbuk Office of Education is conducting a two-day capacity-building training for school violence officers (supervisors and clerks) at the The-K Hotel Gyeongju.
This training was organized to strengthen the response capabilities of supervisors and clerks in education support offices regarding all matters related to school violence occurring in schools, based on the "Act on the Prevention of and Countermeasures against School Violence" and the "Act on the Protection of Children and Youth against Sexual Abuse."
The training content includes procedures for handling school violence cases, precautions when dealing with school violence laws, operation of the School Violence Countermeasure Committee, reconciliation and dispute mediation, relationship restoration, life education, guidance on the rapid support team’s duties, and sharing of cases from education support offices. It is conducted as a field-centered intensive delivery training focused on education office staff, along with group discussions and information sharing centered on current issues such as problems arising from case responses and protective measures for victims of school violence.
Lim Jong-sik, Superintendent of Gyeongbuk Office of Education, said, “As school violence cases are becoming increasingly complex in various forms, I hope this training will help enhance the capabilities of those in charge of school violence tasks. We will continue to do our best to provide fair and prompt support to schools when handling school violence cases.”
