Augusta National, the host of the Masters, announced on the 17th (Korean time) the meal that the defending champion serves to past champions the day before the tournament begins. The theme of the menu is Texas-style barbecue. Scheffler first offers mini cheeseburgers and fried shrimp as appetizers. This is followed by tortilla soup accompanied by avocado, crispy tortilla chips, sour cream, cilantro, and lime.

Attendees choose between Texas ribeye and blackened skate for the main course. Mac and cheese, jalape?o cream corn, fried Brussels sprouts, and seasoned French fries are served alongside. The meal concludes with dessert, for which Scheffler prepared sticky chocolate chip cookies.

The Champions Dinner was started by Ben Hogan (USA) in 1952. Recent dinners have gained more spotlight by carefully selecting hometown or national specialty dishes, such as Dustin Johnson's 2021 "filet mignon and salmon," Tiger Woods' 2020 "chicken fajitas and steak," and Patrick Reed's (all USA) 2019 "cowboy ribeye course." 2021 champion Hideki Matsuyama (Japan) presented "wagyu and sushi" last year.

This year's Masters will be held over four days starting from the 6th of next month at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia, USA.
