Korea Investment & Securities, a subsidiary of Korea Financial Group, announced on the 17th that it will raise 5 billion KRW each for two online-only equity-linked securities (ELS) products.
'TRUE ELS Series 15856' is a 3-year maturity product based on U.S. electric vehicle company Tesla and semiconductor company AMD (Advanced Micro Devices). During the first year, redemption is assessed every six months. After one year, redemption is determined every three months, and after two years, every month. The closer to maturity, the higher the possibility of early redemption. If both underlying assets are at or above 75% of the initial reference price (at 6, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, and 25~32 months), 70% (33~35 months), or 65% (at maturity), an annual return of 17.1% is paid and early redemption occurs.
'TRUE ELS Series 15857' is based on Tesla and semiconductor company NVIDIA. It has a 3-year maturity, with redemption assessed every six months. If both underlying assets are at or above 80% of the initial reference price (at 6 and 12 months), 75% (18 and 24 months), 70% (30 months), or 65% (at maturity), an annual return of 22% is paid and early redemption occurs.
For both products, even if early redemption conditions are not met, if no underlying asset falls below 35% or 40% of the initial reference price during the investment period, the contracted return will be paid at maturity. However, if the price falls below 35% or 40%, losses ranging from 35% to 100% of the principal may occur.
The subscription period for general individual investors is until the 17th. According to the investor cooling-off system, there will be a cooling-off period from March 20 to 21, and investors can confirm their subscription intention from the 22nd to 10 a.m. on the 23rd.
