Gwangju District Councilor Jeong Chang-su's Proposed 'Dream Start Support Ordinance' Passed

Jeong Chang-su, a member of the Gwangju Nam-gu Council, announced on the 15th that the "Nam-gu Dream Start Operation and Support Ordinance" was passed at the 292nd Extraordinary Session of the Social Construction Committee.

This ordinance stipulates the responsibilities of the district mayor to provide integrated services such as health, welfare, protection, education, and treatment for children and families with vulnerable growth and welfare conditions. It mainly includes matters related to the Dream Start project contents and project fund support.

With the passage of this ordinance, it is expected that customized integrated services to support the healthy growth and development of children from vulnerable groups can be provided.

Councilor Jeong said, "Through providing customized integrated services to children from vulnerable groups, we hope to guarantee equal starting opportunities and help them grow into happy members of society."
