Counseling for Young People’s Everyday Difficulties on Site

Seoul Youth Center Mapo Orang to Host ‘Youth Customized Counseling Mobile Shinmungo’ on the 23rd

One-on-one counseling for youth on legal, tax, and labor issues conducted on site



Mapo-gu (Mayor Park Gang-su) announced that it will hold the ‘Youth Customized Counseling Mobile Shinmungo,’ a program to listen to and counsel youth difficulties directly on site, at Mapo Orang on the 23rd.


The Mobile Shinmungo is organized by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission and co-hosted by Mapo Orang (Seoul Youth Center) to provide counseling opportunities for youth who have limited access to consultations on daily civil complaints or legal issues.


At this Mobile Shinmungo event, youth can receive counseling in various fields including daily civil complaints, legal, tax, labor issues, public interest reporting, and administrative appeal submissions. For daily civil complaints, professional counselors will provide one-on-one consultations on site, and for legal, tax, and labor matters, participants will be matched with lawyers and field experts for counseling.


Youth aged 19 to 39 are eligible to participate. On the day of the event, they can visit Mapo Orang and register on site at the lobby (Moyeorang). Counseling hours are from 2 PM to 5 PM.


Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, said, “Through this Mobile Shinmungo counseling held in cooperation with the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, I hope it will be a valuable opportunity for youth to resolve inconveniences and difficulties in their daily lives,” adding, “We will continue to make efforts for policies supporting local youth.”

Dongdaemun-gu Provides Up to 200,000 KRW Activity Support for Qualification Acquisition to Unemployed Youth

Applications Open from March 2 to October 31 for ‘Youth Employment Qualification Acquisition Activity Support’



Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) announced that it will increase the ‘Qualification Acquisition Activity Support’ for unemployed youth in the area from last year’s 100,000 KRW per person to up to 200,000 KRW (minimum 100,000 KRW per person).


The ‘Youth Employment Qualification Acquisition Activity Support Project’ aims to alleviate the economic burden on youth facing employment instability and rising prices by supporting costs for various qualification exams required for employment with ‘Dongdaemun-gu Love Gift Certificates.’ It also seeks to boost youth employment motivation and revitalize the local economy.


Eligible applicants are unemployed youth aged 19 to 34 residing in Dongdaemun-gu who have taken national (technical, professional, certified) qualification exams, language tests (TOEIC, OPIC, Japanese, Chinese, etc.), Korean History Proficiency Test, or other qualification exams conducted since January 2023.


The application period is from March 2 to October 31. Applicants must submit the relevant application form and supporting documents via email to the Youth Employment Division officer.


Selected youth will receive Dongdaemun-gu Love Gift Certificates (Seoul Pay) ranging from a minimum of 100,000 KRW to a maximum of 200,000 KRW per person.


Lee Pil-hyung, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, said, “I hope the Youth Employment Qualification Acquisition Activity Support Project will serve as a stepping stone for youth facing employment crises due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and economic slowdown to succeed in employment,” adding, “Dongdaemun-gu will spare no effort to provide practical support to strengthen youth employment competitiveness.”
