Songpa-gu Designates the Third Week of Every Month as ‘Integrity Week’... Various Campaigns and Integrity Events to be Held
Active Promotion of New Integrity Policies Including the First Establishment of Songpa-gu Integrity Culture Innovation Band
Songpa-gu (Mayor Seo Gang-seok) announced that it will actively promote extensive integrity policies to spread a trustworthy and honest organizational culture to its residents.
Since taking office, Seo Gang-seok, Mayor of Songpa-gu, has continuously emphasized that “public office is a serious position” and urged compliance with the “duty of integrity.” This includes not only prohibiting improper solicitations and the acceptance of money or gifts that hinder fair job performance but also fostering a considerate workplace culture, aiming to provide high-quality administrative services to residents through the practice of integrity.
In its second year of the 8th local government term, the district aims to realize a more trusted “Integrity Songpa.” Based on last year’s comprehensive integrity evaluation results, it has prepared improvement plans and is promoting new projects, making various efforts to enhance the sense of integrity.
First, the third week of every month will be designated as “Songpa-gu Integrity Week,” during which various campaigns related to integrity will be expanded.
March 14 was designated as “Songpa-gu Integrity Day,” and Mayor Seo Gang-seok personally led an integrity campaign during employees’ morning commute. By sharing “Integrity Candies” containing integrity messages with employees, the campaign marked the beginning of spreading Songpa’s integrity culture through friendly interaction. (Photo)
Additionally, on Integrity Day, all employees were given “Anti-Corruption Integrity Toothbrush Sterilizers.” Like a toothbrush sterilizer that removes harmful bacteria, this symbolizes Songpa-gu’s strong commitment to sterilizing corruption within our hearts by keeping it close and using it daily. During Integrity Week, activities such as the “Integrity Morning Broadcast Challenge,” integrity education for new public officials, and the production of the Songpa-gu Integrity Letter will continue, aiming to create a comprehensive “integrity boom.”
Furthermore, for the first time since its establishment, the district launched the “Songpa-gu Integrity Culture Innovation Band,” a voluntary integrity culture practice council involving all departments and affiliated institutions, holding its inauguration ceremony on the 2nd.
The “Songpa-gu Integrity Culture Innovation Band” reorganizes departments and institutions into 11 bands according to their work areas, discovering integrity policies suited to each band’s characteristics and sharing ideas through regular meetings. At the inauguration ceremony, 39 integrity practice tasks were proposed, sharing the strong commitment of employees to integrity.
Going forward, the district plans to institutionalize every third Wednesday of March as “Songpa-gu Integrity Day,” operate monthly Integrity Weeks, and plan year-round integrity campaigns, introducing creative and diverse integrity policies.
Mayor Seo Gang-seok of Songpa-gu stated, “Through the promotion of integrity policies reflecting the strong will of the mayor, we will create ‘Songpa, a premium city where residents are the owners,’ where creativity, innovation, and fairness are realized.”
