Internal and External Audits, Business Plan Approval
"Progress Thanks to the Love of Many Over the Past Two Years"
"We will continuously strive to become a KLPGA that leaps onto the global stage in line with the reputation and status of the world's number one tour."
Kim Jeong-tae, Chairman of the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA), attended the '2023 KLPGA General Meeting' held at the Textile Center in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 14th, and said, "The KLPGA has been able to develop over the past two years thanks to the interest and love of many people. We have prepared the largest-ever regular, Dream, Jump, and Champions tours with 75 tournaments and a total prize money of approximately 34 billion KRW," expressing his reflections on his two-year term and his aspirations for the future.
He also added, "This year, we will implement member-tailored education to strengthen welfare and fulfill our social responsibility by sharing the love KLPGA has received through social contribution programs and expanding the base of youth golf," and requested, "I ask for your support so that KLPGA can move forward steadily without wavering."
At the general meeting, KLPGA reported and approved internal and external audits, business plans, and budgets. It also reported on last year's KLPGT business report, settlement, and business plan, which were approved at the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Tour (KLPGT) regular shareholders' meeting held on the 9th.
In addition, a proposal to amend the KLPGA articles of association for efficient operation was approved, and through a vote by delegates attending the general meeting, new directors Kim Min-seon, Shin Eun-young, and Lee Jeong-hwa were elected as executives.
