Hyundai Construction Partners with Sogang University for Construction-Linked Metaverse Commercialization

Sogang University Graduate School of Metaverse Donates All NFT Sales Revenue

Hyundai Construction will engage in industry-academic cooperation to support the advancement of the metaverse industry and explore utilization methods linked to the construction sector.

On the 14th, Hyundai Construction announced that it donated all proceeds from the sale of NFTs, issued in limited quantities to commemorate its 75th anniversary, to the Sogang University Graduate School of Metaverse. The donation amount (a total of 313,000 KLAY) will be used to support metaverse research and the training of specialized personnel.

Earlier, on the 7th, both parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at securing technology and fostering talent for building an advanced metaverse platform and developing related services.

Going forward, the two sides plan to form a working-level consultative body and continue their cooperative relationship for the development of the metaverse industry, including ▲joint research on metaverse commercialization linked to the construction industry ▲discovery and support of metaverse-specialized research and development (R&D) projects ▲training of leading personnel in the metaverse field.

A Hyundai Construction official stated, “We plan to create opportunities to practically access virtual worlds by leveraging the technologies and capabilities of Hyundai Construction and Sogang University. We hope this cooperation will serve as a stepping stone for building innovative metaverse business models.”
