"Solving Business Growth Challenges with Customized Specialized Diagnostics"

Jungjingong, Recruiting Companies for Specialized Diagnosis Participation

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Lee Young) and the Small and Medium Business Corporation (Chairman Kim Hak-do, hereinafter referred to as SBC) announced on the 14th that they are recruiting companies to participate in specialized diagnostics to support small and venture businesses in overcoming complex crises and to enhance the effectiveness of government policy support.

Specialized diagnostics are expert assessments aimed at resolving specific management difficulties in companies, consisting of ▲Management Innovation Diagnosis ▲Carbon Neutrality Level Diagnosis ▲In-depth ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Diagnosis. Experts in the respective fields visit the site and conduct the diagnosis free of charge for 10 days.

The Management Innovation Diagnosis identifies company issues, analyzes causes, and resolves difficulties through improvement activities. The support target is small and medium enterprises with sales of 5 billion KRW or more that are vulnerable to the three high phenomena: high inflation, high interest rates, and high exchange rates. Companies with excellent diagnostic results will be linked to commercialization funds for developed technologies through on-site surveys if they meet the funding application conditions.

"Solving Business Growth Challenges with Customized Specialized Diagnostics"

The Carbon Neutrality Level Diagnosis measures energy consumption by process and equipment, establishes strategies to reduce energy and carbon emissions, and links customized policy projects such as funding and consulting. Eligible applicants are manufacturing SMEs with more than three years of operation seeking energy reduction. Companies with outstanding greenhouse gas reduction performance after diagnosis will receive financial incentives such as preferential interest rates on SBC policy funds and commercial bank loans.

Additionally, to respond to the spread of global supply chain due diligence, an in-depth ESG diagnosis is newly introduced this year. Experts provide ESG level diagnosis and improvement tasks, and by analyzing stakeholders, derive priorities for task execution to support strengthening the ESG capabilities of SMEs. Completed companies will be provided with related education and content.

Chairman Kim Hak-do said, "SBC will help small and venture businesses achieve results through a customized specialized diagnostic program that reflects changes in the industrial ecosystem," adding, "Based on the diagnostic results, we will link various support policies to strengthen corporate competitiveness and lay the foundation for overcoming complex crises."
