HiteJinro Launches Two 'Jigongdas La Cave' Wines

Wine Products from Cooperative Wineries in the Rh?ne Region of Southern France

HiteJinro is strengthening its wine portfolio by launching high-quality wines.

On the 14th, HiteJinro announced that it will release two wines from the red wine-producing winery ‘Gigondas La Cave’ located in the Rh?ne region of southern France.

Established in 1956, Gigondas La Cave is a cooperative currently composed of 73 winemakers. All grape harvesting is done manually, and the winery regularly visits each winemaker’s vineyard to collaboratively consider and decide on grape cultivation methods that align with the winery’s characteristics while optimizing quality.

The Gigondas Appellation d'Origine Contr?l?e (AOC) is characterized by presenting traditional wines with consistent quality by adhering to traditional methods while applying modern technology. It mainly produces rich and robust red wines.

‘Gigondas Celebration’ is a premium limited-edition wine created to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Gigondas AOC. Production is limited to only the finest grapes, featuring a rich aroma and smooth texture. ‘Gigondas Syterres de Bois Neuf’ is Gigondas La Cave’s top-tier wine made exclusively from grapes grown on old vines. Its most distinctive feature is aging for 12 months in new oak barrels, offering deep fruit aromas and subtle cedar notes.

The two Gigondas La Cave wines will be available for sale from the end of this month through Hyundai Department Store (Mokdong, Cheonho, Pangyo, Sinchon branches), Hyundai Premium Outlet Songdo, and Shinsegae Department Store (Main and Gangnam branches).

Yoo Tae-young, Executive Director of HiteJinro, said, "The ideal serving temperature for the two Gigondas La Cave wines is 16?18 degrees Celsius, and we recommend drinking them after allowing contact with air," adding, "We hope you can enjoy a special evening with the two premium wines from Gigondas La Cave released this time."
