Until the 5th of next month
The Seoul Agricultural Technology Center announced on the 14th that it will recruit school 4-H members who support the development of future generations through agricultural spirit cultivation and nature- and environment-friendly activities until the 5th of next month. This year, they plan to nurture 800 members across 27 4-H clubs.
4-H stands for the first letters of the English words Head (智), Heart (德), Hands (勞), and Health (體). It is a global youth movement that began in the United States in 1907 and is now active in over 80 countries worldwide.
The recruitment target is student groups (organizations) aged 7 to 39 years old attending elementary and secondary schools within Seoul. Schools wishing to join can download the application form from the Agricultural Technology Center’s website and submit it electronically (official document).
Jo Sang-tae, director of the Seoul Agricultural Technology Center, said, “We will provide opportunities for healthy gatherings to students who have had limited outdoor activities due to the pandemic and the expansion of remote education, and share the new vision and ideology of the 4-H movement, including agriculture, rural areas, environment, and climate change.”
