Gyeongnam Jeongbo University Department of Military Science Holds Promotion and Enlistment Ceremony

The Department of Military Science at Gyeongnam Information University (President Kim Dae-sik) held the ‘2023 Academic Year Promotion and Induction Ceremony’ on the 13th at the Yakson Myungga Hall on campus.

The Department of Military Science holds an induction ceremony annually for freshmen and a promotion ceremony for second-year students simultaneously, creating an occasion to pledge loyalty to the nation and realize the dream of becoming future national defense leaders.

About 40 freshmen and enrolled students attended the promotion and induction ceremony, pledging to do their best to cultivate the qualities of elite junior officers.

Go Nam-hyeok, the student council president of the Department of Military Science who participated in the event, said, “Through this promotion and induction ceremony, I felt pride in wearing the uniform,” and vowed, “I will become a great junior officer who can serve the country and the people.”

Kim Dae-sik, president of Gyeongnam Information University, said, “The promotion and induction ceremony is not just a simple event but a moment to reaffirm new resolutions,” adding, “We will do our best to guide and support the students of the Department of Military Science to develop the loyalty, leadership, military skills, and character they must have as future national defense leaders.”

The Department of Military Science at Gyeongnam Information University was first established in Busan in 2007 and has produced non-commissioned officers and officers for the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Special Forces.
