Displaying Mobile Webpages Directly Using Mirroring Technology
Meritz Fire & Marine Insurance will allow customers to view product details directly while purchasing insurance via telemarketing (TM).
On the 13th, Meritz Fire & Marine Insurance launched this "Visible TM Insurance Enrollment Service" for all sales organizations under the TM business division.
This service progresses by showing important explanations and the subscription process on a mobile web platform, excluding simple product guidance, without the existing procedure of the insurance agent reading the standard product explanation script via voice call and recording the entire process. The company swiftly launched the actual service after being designated as an innovative financial service provider by the Financial Services Commission in December last year.
The key feature of this service is the application of self-developed mobile screen sharing (mirroring) technology, allowing the agent to carefully explain the insurance by highlighting the customer's screen with a fluorescent pen. Compared to the previous method of quickly reading materials aloud for a long time, this improves convenience for both customers and agents and is expected to increase the rate of complete insurance sales.
To enhance consumer understanding, additional services such as an "Insurance Terminology Dictionary" and "Consultation Reservation for Preferred Time Slots" have been included. In the future, 'TTS' technology that reads text messages aloud will also be applied.
A Meritz Fire & Marine Insurance official stated, "Monitoring results from the preliminary pilot operation showed high satisfaction from both customers and agents," adding, "Only web pages permitted by the customer can be viewed together by the agent, enabling customers to purchase insurance more conveniently and safely in a non-face-to-face environment."
