Support of 200 Million KRW per City and County, Total Project Budget of 600 Million KRW
The Kangwon Land Social Contribution Foundation announced on the 13th that starting from 2023, it will carry out social contribution projects targeting vulnerable groups in non-mining areas outside Gangwon Province, specifically in Mungyeong City, Gyeongbuk Province; Boryeong City, Chungnam Province; and Hwasun County, Jeonnam Province, as a key initiative.
Until now, the foundation has conducted welfare projects for pneumoconiosis victims residing in these three counties, but reflecting the welfare needs and situations in these areas, it decided to launch new projects supporting vulnerable groups from this year.
Accordingly, the foundation allocated a total of 600 million KRW, with 200 million KRW each for 7 new projects?3 in Mungyeong City, 2 in Boryeong City, and 1 in Hwasun County?and delivered the funds to relevant social welfare organizations in each region on the 9th.
The support funds will be used until December for emergency support for vulnerable households in crisis, leisure support, medical, livelihood, and side dish assistance, housing environment improvement, job creation for vulnerable groups, elderly safety management using artificial intelligence (AI) companion robots, and the establishment and operation of Happy Sharing Laundromats.
