Gokseong-gun Supports Loans for Purchasing Startup Housing for Returning Farmers

Support of Over 1 Billion Won Through Low-Interest Loans

Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Lee Sang-cheol) announced that on the 9th, it held the ‘2023 First Half Year Selection Committee for Beneficiaries of the Returning Farmers’ Agricultural Start-up and Housing Purchase Loan Support Project’ at the county office’s Communication Maru.

The Returning Farmers’ Agricultural Start-up and Housing Purchase Loan Support Project is designed to help returning farmers settle smoothly and strengthen their farming foundation to achieve management stability and income improvement.

On that day, four committee members attended the review meeting, including representatives from the Gokseong-gun Returning and Rural Migration Council, the Agricultural Entrepreneurs Gokseong-gun Federation, the Life Improvement Association Gokseong-gun Federation, and the NH Nonghyup Bank Gokseong-gun Branch.

The committee reviewed the selection plan for beneficiaries of the agricultural start-up and housing purchase loan support project for the first half of 2023.

After evaluating the project plans and enthusiasm for farming settlement, it was decided to provide loan support of approximately 1 billion KRW to eight farming households.

The selected returning farmers will use the loan support to promote agricultural start-ups such as farmland purchase, beekeeping, apiculture, orchard establishment, and cold storage facilities, as well as housing purchase funds.

Depending on individual collateral capacity, low-interest loans can be provided within the executable loan amount range by NH Nonghyup Bank Gokseong-gun Branch. The loan funds will be repaid in installments over 10 years with a 5-year grace period for agricultural start-up funds and housing funds.

A county official said, “We will spare no administrative and financial support to realize a happier Gokseong for our residents. We hope that the selected loan beneficiaries will prepare thoroughly and maintain continuous interest so that they can proceed with their projects promptly.”
