Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) announced that it began recruiting design VE advisory committee members for reviewing design cost-effectiveness in the housing and public building sectors starting from the 13th.
'Design VE' is a construction management technique that enhances building performance and reduces costs during the design phase to increase the value of construction projects. The committee operates annually for about 100 cases in the housing sector and around 10 cases in public buildings.
The recruitment fields are broadly divided into multi-family housing and public buildings, with six detailed areas including architectural design, structure, construction, and mechanical engineering.
In particular, this year, the advisory committee plans to additionally recruit female architects and architects active in local regions to incorporate expert opinions from diverse fields and strengthen the creation of innovative ideas suited to regional circumstances.
The advisory committee members will be selected by the end of this month, and the selected members will participate in design VE activities in each field from April until the end of March 2025.
Jung Woon-seop, Head of LH Construction Safety Technology Headquarters, stated, “We plan to continuously strive to improve the value of construction projects from the design stage and realize high-quality housing by utilizing a rich advisory committee POOL specialized in housing fields.”
