Implementation in Mid-March for 43 Welfare Facilities
Gimhae City in Gyeongnam Province will conduct free water quality tests on groundwater and tap water used in welfare facilities within the city.
On the 13th, the city announced that this initiative aims to realize water welfare services that reach out to citizens and to enhance the reliability of Gimhae City's tap water, "Chansaemi."
After conducting a demand survey on 43 welfare facilities, including local self-support centers, community rehabilitation facilities for the disabled, and children's group living facilities, at the beginning of the year, testing will begin in mid-March.

Water quality testing experts from the Myeongdong Water Purification Division's drinking water quality testing agency will visit the facilities in person to inspect the on-site water quality and conduct tests on legally mandated items.
They will promote hygienic drinking water management methods to facility users, and the water quality test results will be notified to the respective facilities.
Regarding legal obligations for water quality testing of groundwater, water tanks, and others, administrative procedures will be handled on behalf of the facilities.
A city official stated, "In addition to this free water quality testing, we will expand the tap water safety confirmation system that visits vulnerable groups such as households and daycare centers," adding, "We will continue water supply administration that communicates with citizens."
