Park Seong-jun, spokesperson for the Democratic Party of Korea, regarding the death of a close aide to Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party, and media reports stating that the will contained phrases such as "Leader Lee, please quit politics," said, "Do not look at the text, look at the context," emphasizing that interpreting based on only part of the content is not advisable.

He added, "There is definitely a phenomenon where the entire situation can be distorted by stringing together a few words without actually seeing the content," and said, "In one part of the will, the deceased expressed feelings of injustice, and there are also contents such as 'turning things that did not happen into facts,' which are now being reported by the media."

The pro-Lee (친명, Chinmyeong) faction of the Democratic Party claims that the death of Jeon, a close aide during Lee's time as governor of Gyeonggi Province, was due to "excessive investigation by the prosecution." He also stressed that the party must unite as one in response to this incident. Spokesperson Park said, "To continue proper governance and provincial administration, the prosecution is conducting excessive investigations as if there is something to find, questioning the involved parties," and stated, "In that case, as a member and a lawmaker of the Democratic Party, we must stand firmly united and confront this situation with confidence."
