The National Police Agency has formed a dedicated economic security investigation team, and security investigation teams will operate in 57 police stations nationwide where security divisions are established. In addition, industrial technology leakage reporting centers will be set up in 202 police stations.

The police designated the period from February to October this year as the "2023 Special Crackdown on Economic Security Threat Crimes" and are mobilizing all available resources, including provincial police agencies and the National Police Agency investigation teams, to respond to technology leakage crimes. On the 6th, the National Police Agency established and implemented a comprehensive plan to strengthen economic security investigation capabilities.

An official from the Security Investigation Bureau stated, "To respond to the changing future security environment and evolving crimes in the long term, we are considering establishing a research center that supports research activities related to technology and techniques as well as specialized training for investigators." He added, "If you suspect technology leakage or have suffered damage, you can report it to the 'Industrial Technology Leakage Reporting Center' opened on the National Police Agency website (www.police.go.kr) or visit a nearby police station for consultation."
