European Sales Last Year Increased by 120% Compared to 2021
LG Electronics will unveil new heating and cooling air conditioning products for the European market at the world's largest HVAC exhibition. These are high-efficiency products that meet the highest European energy rating of A+++.
LG Electronics announced on the 12th that it will participate in 'ISH 2023' in Frankfurt, Germany, from the 13th (local time) to the 17th for five days. It has prepared a 489㎡ booth to showcase residential and commercial heating and cooling air conditioning solutions.
Europe declared the 'RepowerEU' plan last year to expand the use of new and renewable energy by 2030. Demand for high-efficiency electric products is rapidly increasing. This is why heat pump heating and cooling systems that do not use fossil fuels are receiving great attention.

First, LG Electronics will unveil the heat pump heating and cooling system 'Therma V.' It satisfies the highest A+++ rating in the European ErP energy rating. It is an air-source heat pump (AWHP) that uses thermal energy obtained from outside air for heating and cooling to improve energy efficiency. In Europe, air source is recognized as new and renewable energy. Using Therma V can increase the proportion of new and renewable energy usage.
The output is high, and the noise is low. Thanks to this, last year’s sales of Therma V in Europe increased by more than 120% compared to 2021. In more than two-thirds of the countries in Europe where LG operates air conditioning businesses, including France, sales last year more than doubled compared to 2021.
LG Electronics will also unveil the new integrated indoor-outdoor heat pump product 'Therma V R290 Monoblock,' which applies the next-generation eco-friendly refrigerant R290. The product’s Global Warming Potential (GWP) is 3. Since applying the R32 refrigerant for the first time in the world in 2018 to the integrated heat pump heating and cooling system Therma V Monoblock, LG has once again demonstrated its eco-friendly refrigerant technology.

The commercial heating and cooling system air conditioner 'Multi V i,' launched in the domestic market, will also be introduced to the European market. It is equipped with a high-performance artificial intelligence (AI) engine. It offers functions such as 'AI Indoor Space Care' (automatic control of multiple indoor units individually), 'AI Energy Customized Control' (operates automatically according to target usage), and 'AI Smart Care' (saves electricity by reducing power when no one is present).
It is a top-tier energy efficiency grade 1 product. It improved energy efficiency by up to 7.2% compared to the existing 16-horsepower model 'Multi V Super 5.'
