[Weather] Nationwide Rain Forecast... Seoul Daytime Temperature Drops to 8 Degrees

Possible Hail in the Southern Region

On the 12th, the entire country will be cloudy with rain accompanied by thunder and lightning, and snow will fall. In the inland areas of Jeolla and the Gyeongsang region, as well as other southern regions, hail may fall in the afternoon. The daytime temperature in Seoul will drop to 8 degrees Celsius, lower than yesterday.


Starting from Seoul, Gyeonggi, Chungnam, and Honam this morning, rain will fall nationwide. Snow may fall in northeastern Gyeonggi, the mountainous and northern inland areas of Gangwon, and around Chungbuk. Hail may fall in the southern regions where the atmosphere is unstable. Rain will stop in most areas today, but in Jeju Island, it is expected to continue until the early morning of the 13th.

Today's highest daytime temperature will range from 7 to 20 degrees Celsius. The daytime temperature in Seoul is expected to be 8 degrees, 15 degrees lower than yesterday. Strong winds may blow along the coast and mountainous areas this afternoon, and a strong wind advisory may be issued. Temperatures are expected to drop below freezing from tonight.


Fine dust levels are expected to be 'moderate.' However, the Seoul metropolitan area, Yeongseo region of Gangwon, Chungcheong, Honam, Yeongnam, and Jeju regions may experience 'bad' levels in the morning.


Tomorrow, temperatures may drop by about 10 degrees compared to today due to cold air flowing in from the northwest the previous day. Morning temperatures are expected to be around -3 degrees Celsius. There is a possibility that a cold wave advisory will be issued in some areas.
