KBS: "JMS Shindo Pointed Out PD and Interpreter Are Not Current Employees"

KBS Truth Investigation Results Announced
“Professor Kim Dohyung Also Expresses Regret”

Amid claims that there is a current member of the Christian Gospel Mission (commonly known as JMS) within KBS, KBS stated, "They are not currently an employee of KBS."

On the 10th, KBS released a statement in the afternoon saying, "After verification, the PD and interpreter mentioned by Professor Kim Dohyung are not currently working with KBS or involved in production tasks."

Earlier, on the 9th, Kim Dohyung, a professor at Dankook University and representative of the anti-JMS group 'Exodus,' claimed during a live broadcast on KBS that there are JMS members inside KBS.

Professor Kim appeared on KBS 1TV's 'The Live' that day and said, "Those who protect Jeong Myeongseok (JMS leader) are not far away," adding, "There are some at KBS as well. Even a current KBS PD is a member."

When the host interrupted, saying, "You shouldn't make such definitive statements," Professor Kim responded, "I can even name them," and added, "There is also a female interpreter who frequently appears on KBS (who is a member)." He continued, "She interpreted for foreign sexual assault victims related to JMS who became criminal cases," and pointed out, "If such a person is exposed on KBS broadcasts, young people might think, 'Oh, that woman is trustworthy,' and follow her, which could lead to continued sexual assaults."

KBS disclosed the results of an internal investigation regarding this matter and expressed regret over Professor Kim's use of the definitive term "KBS PD."

Meanwhile, Professor Kim has been exposing issues related to JMS for over 30 years. He recently revealed the atrocities of JMS leader Jeong Myeongseok in the Netflix documentary about cults, 'I Am a God: People Betrayed by God.' Jeong, who claimed to be the Messiah, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for repeatedly sexually assaulting female members and was released in February 2018 after serving his sentence.

However, even after his release, from February 2018 to September 2021, Jeong was arrested again last October on charges of molesting or quasi-raping Hong Kong-national members at a training center located in Jinsan-myeon, Geumsan-gun, Chungnam Province, on 17 occasions, and he is currently undergoing trial.
