Korea Investment & Securities, First Securities Firm to Launch Mobile Consent Service for Retirement Pension Regulations

Korea Investment & Securities, a subsidiary of Korea Financial Group, announced on the 10th that it has introduced the industry's first 'Mobile Consent Service for Retirement Pension Regulations.'

Through this service, companies enrolled in Korea Investment & Securities' retirement pension can easily obtain employee consent via KakaoTalk. For corporate retirement pension plans (DB and DC types), employee consent is mandatory when enrolling new members or making changes. In the case of the defined contribution (DC) retirement pension, the introduction of the pre-designated operation system (default option) requires mandatory regulation changes, which previously took considerable time to submit consent forms.

A corporate representative enrolled in Korea Investment & Securities' retirement pension said, "With the introduction of this service, digital consent forms can be received non-face-to-face and checked in real time," adding, "Employee satisfaction has increased, and the workload of retirement pension managers has significantly decreased."

Korea Investment & Securities launched the dedicated retirement pension app ‘myYeongeum’ last June and is providing differentiated non-face-to-face retirement pension services. The company plans to continue various support policies, including system enhancements and strengthened product recommendation functions reflecting customer needs, as well as providing retirement pension educational content using platforms like YouTube.

Hong Deok-gyu, Head of the Retirement Pension Division, stated, "As the importance of retirement pensions continues to grow, each operator is focusing on developing digital financial technologies to operate the system more conveniently," and added, "Korea Investment & Securities will do its utmost to safely manage the valuable retirement pensions of all workers in Korea."
