6-Page Will Discovered... Mention of Representative Lee
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] A, the first chief secretary during Lee Jae-myung's tenure as governor of Gyeonggi Province and the leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, was found dead, and the discovered suicide note reportedly mentioned Lee.
According to investigative authorities on the 10th, A was found dead at around 6:40 PM the previous day at his home in Changgok-dong, Sujeong-gu, Seongnam City.
At the scene, a six-page handwritten suicide note by A was found. The handwritten note discovered by the police reportedly expressed grievances about the charges against him and mentioned Lee's name. Currently, the bereaved family is strongly refusing to disclose the note.
The police are investigating the cause of death, considering there were no signs of homicide and the presence of the suicide note, concluding that it was an extreme choice.
A was a person named in the arrest warrant request for Lee. During the illegal sponsorship case involving Seongnam FC, A was the party who requested sponsorship for Seongnam FC and conducted detailed discussions, and was investigated by prosecutors around the time of retirement from the Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH). However, A was confirmed not to be a subject of investigation related to the Ssangbangwool Group case.
