Daycare Center Officials Provide Program Explanation and Experience Opportunities
Daycare Rental ... Enhancing Creativity and Education Quality for Infants and Toddlers
Pohang City is conducting a rental project for AI coding robots at daycare centers to provide user-centered customized childcare and to expand and diversify digital experiences for infants and toddlers. An explanatory meeting was held on the 8th.
Pohang City held a briefing session on the AI coding robot rental project for daycare centers on the 8th to promote demand-oriented customized childcare and to expand and diversify digital experiences for infants and young children.
At this explanatory meeting, the city explained the functions of the robots and how to operate the programs to local daycare center directors and childcare staff, and also provided time for hands-on experience.
The AI coding robots for daycare center rental are humanoid robots with a human-like body shape that can interact and communicate like real people. They have key features such as voice recognition, vision recognition, and motion implementation, and offer various and interesting experiences through coding using dedicated programs.
In particular, since they express emotions through changes in their pupils, emotional communication and interaction are possible, which is expected to greatly help the emotional development of infants and toddlers.
Rentals can be made for two weeks after reservation at the Pohang City Childcare Support Center, and Pohang City announced that it plans to rent AI coding robots to all local daycare centers by the end of this year.
Ye Eun-hee, head of the Women and Family Division, said, “We are pleased to provide infants, toddlers, and teachers with opportunities to experience future core technologies and various AI contents through interacting with AI coding robots and playing word chain games,” adding, “We expect that various play-based learning using robots will enhance creativity and the quality of education for infants and toddlers.”
