Cha Seok-yong, former Vice Chairman of LG Household & Health Care.

Former Vice Chairman Cha Seok-yong, who led LG Household & Health Care for 18 years, is expected to join the board of directors of Hugel.

Hugel announced on the 9th that it held a board meeting and resolved to nominate former LG Household & Health Care CEO Cha Seok-yong as a non-executive director. Hugel will submit the agenda for appointing Cha as a non-executive director at the 22nd regular shareholders' meeting on the 30th.

Cha is recognized as a figure who led 17 consecutive years of growth as CEO of LG Household & Health Care from 2005 until last year. In particular, he demonstrated his management capabilities by successfully expanding the business portfolio through strategic mergers and acquisitions such as CNP Cosmetics, Physiogel, and Coca-Cola, as well as by leading the company’s global market expansion in China, North America, and Japan.

In addition to LG Household & Health Care, he also served as President of Korea P&G and CEO of Haitai Confectionery.
