Yeonggwang-gun Holds 'Autonomous Police Working Council' Meeting

Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kang Jong-man) announced on the 9th that it held the 'Autonomous Police Working Council' for the linkage of local and security administration at the county office's small conference room on the 8th.

With the full implementation of the autonomous police system ('21. 7.), the county also enacted an ordinance last year and formed the Yeonggwang-gun Autonomous Police Working Council (co-chairmen Lee Young-gil and Jeong Seong-jun) last month, consisting of team leaders and above from Yeonggwang-gun, Yeonggwang Police Station, Yeonggwang Office of Education, and the Road Traffic Authority (Gwangju-Jeonnam branch) to facilitate cooperation and coordination among related agencies.

The 'Autonomous Police Working Council' is a consultative body aimed at revitalizing the autonomous police system and strengthening cooperation and collaboration among related agencies through the linkage of local administration and security administration to ensure the safety of local residents.

At the first meeting, the council discussed collaboration plans among related agencies regarding the autonomous police project application and shared opinions to provide security services that local residents can feel, fostering a time of communication.

Lee Young-gil, General Affairs Director and co-chairman of the council, said, "This meeting is the first step toward the successful implementation of the autonomous police system. We will strengthen cooperation among related agencies and strive to develop security policies that are felt by residents and closely connected to daily life, making the county a safe and secure place for residents to live."
