Official Logo Unveiled, Accelerating Korea Visit Promotion for Foreign Visitors
The Korea Tourism Organization unveiled the official logo for the '2023?2024 Visit Korea Year' on the 8th.
The logo features a font design of the English phrase 'Visit Korea Year' adorned with patterns from Hanbok, harmoniously combined with the traditional Korean hat, Gat.
The Tourism Organization explained that the logo design represents the intersection of traditional Korean objects and restrained, modern design, symbolizing the timeless originality of Korean tradition and embodying the 'hip' cultural and artistic hub that modern Korea is recognized as.
The most eye-catching element of the logo is undoubtedly the 'Gat.' Recently, the Gat has gained worldwide recognition through K-pop stars' music videos and the Netflix drama 'Kingdom.' It has also frequently appeared in international fashion shows, establishing itself as a unique fashion item globally.
The 'Visit Korea Year' program is being promoted again after five years, following the '2016?2018 Visit Korea Year.' Starting with the logo unveiling, efforts to promote tourism to Korea will be intensified.
Along with the logo release, the organization plans to sequentially launch a special website and official promotional videos for Visit Korea Year. Throughout the period, comprehensive efforts to attract visitors will be conducted on both domestic and international stages, alongside close collaboration with the private sector.
A representative from the Korea Tourism Organization stated, "We hope that the two-year Visit Korea Year will serve as a stepping stone for the rapid recovery of the inbound tourism market following COVID-19."
