First Regular Meeting of the 8th Term in Gurye... Promotion of 100-Year Celebration and Cultural Festival Events
On the 8th, Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that Lee Byeong-no, the governor of Damyang-gun, attended the regular meeting of the Gugoksundam (Gurye, Gokseong, Sunchang, Damyang) Longevity Belt Administrative Council held in Gurye-gun on the 7th to discuss cooperation measures.
At the first open regular meeting of the 8th civil term, the four local governments reported on the progress of last year's projects and decided to actively promote projects such as the 2023 100-Year-Old Festival Cultural Event, as well as to continuously discover cooperative tasks.
The Gugoksundam Longevity Belt Administrative Council is an administrative council formed in 2003 by Gurye, Gokseong, Sunchang, and Damyang-gun, which represent South Korea's longevity belt.
Every year, the four counties take turns conducting various projects related to longevity.
Governor Lee Byeong-no said, “Through the Gugoksundam Longevity Belt Administrative Council, we will contribute to creating a region where elderly people can live comfortably through various projects.”
