New villages will receive a total project budget of 15 million won over three years, with 5 million won provided annually until 2025.
Additionally, 2 to 3 outstanding villages will be selected each year to receive an additional 2 million won in project funds and an outstanding village plaque.
A county official stated, “The Eutteum Village project is not simply a landscape improvement project that plants and waters flower trees in the village, but serves as a catalyst to spread the awareness that ‘I cultivate my village with my own hands’ and to revitalize the community. We will support all 515 villages to participate in the Eutteum Village project sequentially.”
Meanwhile, Haenam-gun received the grand prize in the 2022 Clean Jeonnam Eutteum Village Making evaluation hosted by Jeollanam-do, securing 50 million won in prize funds. The prize funds will be used as additional project funds for newly discovered Eutteum Village projects following last year.
