Application for Education Allowance and Tuition Support Until the 17th
Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) is accepting applications for educational benefits and educational expense support for students from low-income households until the 17th.
According to the county on the 8th, the recipients of educational benefits are elementary, middle, and high school students from households with recognized income at or below 50% of the median income standard. Depending on the school level, they can receive educational activity support funds ranging from 415,000 KRW to 654,000 KRW.
If they have already applied and are receiving support, they do not need to apply again; however, a new application is required if a sibling enters elementary school.
Starting this year, educational benefits are provided in the form of vouchers instead of cash, so after the eligibility decision, recipients must apply for the voucher online.
Additionally, those eligible for educational expense support include basic livelihood security recipients, single-parent family protection recipients, and legally designated lower-income groups, who can receive support such as high school tuition, meal fees, after-school free course vouchers, and educational informatization support according to each category's criteria.
Students and parents (guardians) wishing to apply can visit their local eup/myeon office year-round or apply online through the Bokjiro system.
Governor Kim San stated, "Through educational benefits and educational expense support, we will provide educational welfare opportunities to students from low-income families and do our best to ensure that no child is left behind."
