Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam Offices of Education Hold Joint Workshop for Audit Organizations

Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam Offices of Education will hold a joint workshop to strengthen the cooperation system among audit organizations.


Busan Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 8th that it will hold the "2023 Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Offices of Education Audit Officials Joint Workshop" for about 100 audit officials from the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam Offices of Education over two days on the 9th and 10th at Sono Belle Gyeongju in Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do.


This workshop, co-hosted by the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam Offices of Education, is held annually on a rotating basis, and this year it is organized by the Busan Office of Education. It was not held for three years from 2020 due to the impact of COVID-19.


The workshop aims to strengthen the cooperation system among the three audit organizations through ▲ enhancing internal audit activities ▲ improving the professionalism of audit officials ▲ sharing cases and exchanging information.

At the workshop, Kim Eung-tae, Director of Audit Planning at the Inspection and Protection Bureau of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, will give a lecture on the topic of "Cases of Fraudulent Receipt of Subsidies," and Min Kyung-sun, Assistant Professor at the Korean National Police University, will lecture on the topic of "A Country Without Frustration Created by Proactive Administration."


Following this, audit case presentations from the three organizations will be held, along with group discussions and Q&A sessions for participants to enhance audit capabilities. There will also be a time for sharing information such as consultation on the 2023 audit plan.


Kim Dong-hyun, Audit Officer of the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, said, "This workshop will be a great opportunity to develop professionalism that can actively respond to the rapidly changing audit environment through sharing audit information and techniques among audit officials from Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam."
