Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province operates over 300 support programs for youth welfare.
Yongin City announced on the 8th that it will conduct educational programs covering various fields such as employment, entrepreneurship, and culture and arts at 'Yongin Youth LAB' locations established in Cheoin-gu, Giheung-gu, and Suji-gu, aiming to support the work-life balance of young people.
In particular, this year the city secured a budget from Gyeonggi Province to promote the Hope Care Project, which can greatly help relieve stress and restore psychological stability for young people.
The education programs will begin on the 20th at 'Giheung LAB' with courses such as 'KPOP Dance Beginner Class Anyone Can Easily and Enjoyably Learn' and 'Healing for Body and Mind, Daily Yoga & Meditation for Myself.' On the 21st, 'Cheoin LAB' will offer a 'Tinkercad Design Class for 3D Printing,' followed by 'Meeting Your Life Color, Personal Color and Image Making' on the 31st.
Additionally, at 'Suji LAB,' 'Spring Love Cherry Blossom Soap Making' and 'Latte Candle Art One-Day Class' will be held on the 21st and 28th, respectively.
Any young person aged 18 to 39 residing in the area can participate. However, the Hope Care Project, a psychological support program for young workers, requires applicants to have experience in entrepreneurship or employment.
A city official stated, "This year's programs will focus on qualitative improvement and psychological healing," adding, "We will establish policies that can help youth, such as specialized counseling programs linked with the Youth Hope Care Project and psychological support."
