KPGA Signs Official Sponsorship Agreement with BTR

Granting Naming Rights for Korean Tour Lowest Score Award for 2 Years

The Korea Professional Golfers' Association (KPGA) announced on the 7th that it has signed an official sponsorship agreement with Kolping Co., Ltd.'s golf wear brand BTR and granted the naming rights for the KPGA Korean Tour's 'Deokchun Award (Lowest Score Award)'.

BTR sponsored the KPGA Korean Tour Long Drive Award from 2018 to 2020. According to this agreement, for the next two years, the KPGA Korean Tour Lowest Score Award will be called the 'Deokchun Award (BTR Lowest Score Award)'.


The Deokchun Award is given to the player who records the lowest average score among those who have completed at least 40% of the total rounds in a season. It is named in honor of the late professional golfer and advisor Yeon Deokchun, the first professional golfer in South Korea.


Park Man-young, CEO of BTR, expressed, "We are pleased that BTR golf wear has signed an official sponsorship with KPGA, contributing to the development of the Korean professional golf industry," and added, "BTR golf wear will strive to make the sport of golf more familiar and accessible to people of all ages and genders."
