ChatGPT Course Enrollment Heats Up... Woongjin ThinkBig "800 Courses Opened"

Woongjin ThinkBig announced on the 7th that ‘ChatGPT’ has become the most searched lecture topic on the global education platform ‘Udemy’ that it services.

Since December last year, searches for ChatGPT-related lectures, which have been attracting worldwide attention, have surged on Udemy. Over the past three months, these searches have accounted for a large portion of total lecture searches, achieving the number one overall search ranking. Udemy is a global education platform with 59 million learners worldwide, offering courses in various fields such as IT development, business, healthcare, and arts. Woongjin ThinkBig manages Udemy’s Korean service.

As demand for lectures increased, the number of new courses also grew rapidly. More than 600 ChatGPT-themed courses were uploaded globally in February alone this year. As of this month, over 800 courses are being offered. Lectures are available not only in English but also in various languages including Korean, Russian, German, French, Italian, Turkish, and Portuguese. The highest-performing ChatGPT course jumped from 1,013th in sales ranking in December last year to 40th in February. Including this, four ChatGPT courses newly entered the top 100 sales rankings as of February.

Woongjin ThinkBig has created a new category called ‘Focus@ChatGPT’ on the ‘Udemy Curation’ homepage, specially operated for domestic users, to make it easier to find ChatGPT-related information and courses. To help learners overcome language barriers, Korean subtitles with expert translations or AI automatic translation systems are provided for English lectures.

Park Min-gyu, head of the Udemy business division, said, “Currently on Udemy, you can find lectures on the innovative AI technology ChatGPT, which the world is paying attention to, under various themes such as ‘for beginners,’ ‘coding practice,’ and ‘business applications.’ We will continue to discover courses reflecting the latest trends like ChatGPT.”
