The arrest warrant for rapper Ravi (real name Kim Won-sik, 30), who is accused of evading military service using the "false epilepsy" method, was dismissed.
On the 6th, Judge Kim Ji-suk, in charge of warrants at the Seoul Southern District Court, conducted a pre-arrest detention hearing (warrant review) and dismissed the arrest warrant, stating, "Considering the objective evidence collected so far, it is difficult to see any risk of flight or evidence tampering by the suspect who has admitted to the charges."
Earlier, the Military Service Evasion Special Investigation Team of the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office requested an arrest warrant for Ravi on the 2nd.
Gu Mo (47), a military service broker who conspired with Ravi, admitted all charges of violating the Military Service Act at the first trial held on January 27.
