Dongseo University has been selected for 11 consecutive years as an operating institution for five courses of the ‘2023 Overseas Employment Training Project K-Move School,’ hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea.
The K-Move School project provides customized education to young people who wish to work for overseas companies and connects them to employment at their desired companies.
Dongseo University, the first university nationwide to be selected as a K-Move School operating institution, had four out of the five courses selected this year, following last year, approved as excellent courses.
The courses offered this year include four excellent courses: U.S. Fashion Specialist, Graphic Designer, Trade Logistics Frontier, IT Convergence Engineer, and one general course for Japanese IT Engineers, totaling five courses.

Starting in March, Dongseo University plans to hold online and offline information sessions to recruit students to participate in the K-Move School.
Students selected for the K-Move School will receive many benefits, including full tuition support, textbook fees, exam fees, airfare, and partial visa processing fees. From the end of June this year to February next year, they will complete customized training courses by course, including language, job skills, liberal arts, and practical training, and then be employed by local companies in the U.S. and Japan.
Jung Do-woon, Director of the Student Employment Support Office, said, “We will realize the university’s educational goal of nurturing global creative talents who embody the value of The Only One and focus the university’s capabilities to cultivate outstanding global talents.”
Dongseo University has received awards such as the Prime Minister’s Award in the youth overseas advancement field in 2016, the Korea Employment Information Service Director’s Award in the overseas employment field at the ‘Youth Dream Best Practice’ in 2019, and the Presidential Citation in the youth overseas advancement field in 2021.
Additionally, from 2017 to 2021, Dongseo University received the highest grade (Grade A) for five consecutive years in the overseas employment operating institution evaluation conducted by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea.
