Yeongyang-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, will implement the '2023 First Half Public Work and Community Job Project' for about four months from March 6 to June 30 to stabilize the livelihood of employment-vulnerable groups and alleviate unemployment.
This project targets a total of 30 people, with 8 in the public work project and 22 in the community job project, working at seven workplaces including the county office.
Participants in the public work project will work in areas such as social welfare improvement projects and agricultural and fishing village labor assistance projects, while participants in the community job project will work in fields such as tourism resource utilization projects, village beautification projects, and multicultural family program support projects.
County Governor O Do-chang said, "I hope that the implementation of this community job project and public work project will provide local residents with opportunities for reemployment that help their livelihoods," adding, "Furthermore, I hope it will contribute to revitalizing the stagnant local economy."
