Gmarket Opens Smile Delivery Business Channel... "Enhanced Convenience in Sales Management"

Gmarket announced on the 6th that it has opened the KakaoTalk ‘Smile Delivery Business Channel’ and will provide notification services and real-time consultation services for selling customers.


Smile Delivery is a next-day combined delivery service launched by Gmarket in 2014. It directly handles all processes of product sales through Gmarket and Auction sites, from ordering to warehousing, inventory management, packaging, and delivery. It has received positive responses from open market sellers who are unfamiliar with online sales or face difficulties in inventory management and delivery.


Gmarket plans to enhance convenience for selling customers using the Smile Delivery service. The Smile Delivery Business Channel is a channel that allows users to easily check and inquire about everything from service subscription, registration, warehousing, to management using KakaoTalk. In particular, by using chatbots or 1:1 consultation chats, new Smile Delivery users can quickly and conveniently receive answers on mobile for areas where they mainly face difficulties, such as service subscription, product registration, and warehousing. In addition, it provides notification talk services for over 20 processes, including information updates related to the Smile Delivery service, ‘SKU registration,’ ‘warehousing information registration,’ and ‘product registration.’


To celebrate the opening of the Smile Delivery Business Channel, a new opening event is also being held. Until the 19th, customers who add the Smile Delivery Business Kakao Channel, check the message sent after the welcome message, click the ‘Apply in Talk’ button at the bottom of the message, fill out the form, and submit it will be entered into a draw. Prizes include a sales deposit worth 1 million KRW usable for Smile Delivery service (1 winner), 500,000 KRW worth (2 winners), Shinsegae gift certificates worth 50,000 KRW (20 winners), and Starbucks Americano coupons (500 winners). Winners will be individually notified in the 4th week of March.


Various benefits are also provided for new Smile Delivery service subscribers in March. Until the 31st of this month, Gmarket will fully support logistics storage fees for up to 4 months for new selling customers who subscribe to Smile Delivery. From the seller’s perspective, this means they can use the Smile Delivery service without logistics costs for 4 months. New Smile Delivery service subscribers will also receive a ‘Smile Delivery 5% discount coupon’ applicable when selling products. The coupon can be used for up to 5,000 KRW on purchases over 10,000 KRW and is valid for one month until March 31 on products sold on Gmarket and Auction. The coupon cost is fully borne by Gmarket.
